Using the College Map and Search Bar: To begin your exploration, use the interactive map to locate any of our 36 independent campuses across North Carolina. Clicking a campus pin displays the name and location of each independent college or university. The search bar below provides a link to each campus’ profile for additional information.

Advanced Search & Financial Planning (CFNC): For a more granular search, we recommend utilizing the CFNC Advanced Search tool. This resource allows you to filter schools by specific academic programs and provides deep insights into financial aid opportunities—including the North Carolina Need-Based Scholarship—specifically available at our independent colleges and universities.

How to filter for NCICU campuses:

• 1. Navigate to the Key Facts tab.
• 2. Under the Public/Private section, check the Private box.
• 3. Click the Apply Filters button.

The same process applies to additional filters such as program types, academics, and financial aid to help you narrow down your best-fit school.

Degree Exploration & Career Alignment (NC Career Pathways): The NC Career Pathways tool is an invaluable resource for understanding how academic choices connect to future careers. It provides a comprehensive overview of the unique degrees and programs offered at each of our campuses, helping students visualize their journey from a specific field of study to a successful professional career in North Carolina.

• 1. Check only the Independent Colleges & Universities box.
• 2. Enter your desired programs of study in the search bar to find the colleges that best align with your professional interests and academic goals.
