North Carolina Independent Colleges and Universities
North Carolina Independent Colleges and Universities (NCICU) is the statewide organization of North Carolina’s private colleges and universities. It provides a database of the 36 private, non-profit liberal arts, comprehensive, and research colleges and universities, all accredited by the Southern Association of Colleges and Schools. NCICU collectively represents independent higher education in the areas of state and federal public policy and on education issues with the other sectors of education in the state. They also provide research and information about private colleges and universities’ online programs, list staff development opportunities and collaborative programs. North Carolina Wesleyan University offers accelerated, 8-week classes at 10 different locations throughout eastern North Carolina and online courses in Accounting, Business, Computer Information Systems, Criminal Justice, Leadership, Logistics, Healthcare Administration, RN to BSN and Marketing. A 100% online Master of Business Administration and Master of Criminal Justice is also available, as well as three fully-online certificates: Executive Leadership, Healthcare Administration and Human Resource Management.
