NCICU Designated Scholarships:
Please note: NCICU does not award scholarships to individuals, if you are interested in one of the following scholarships and are currently enrolled in a North Carolina Independent College or University, please contact your financial aid office.
ICFNC is undergoing a database conversion, and student selection forms will be sent out in September 2025. As a reminder, forms are to be completed only by Financial Aid personnel and cannot be completed by students.
Bridgestone Americas Trust Fund Scholarship:
Funds must be awarded to a full-time undergraduate student attending Barton College who demonstrates financial need, has a minimum GPA of 3.00, is a resident of Edgecombe, Greene, Johnston, Nash, Pitt, Wayne, or Wilson Counties, and is a member of an underrepresented population or is a disadvantaged student.
Broyhill Family Foundation Scholarship:
These funds should be awarded to two full-time undergraduate students who demonstrate financial need. The students must be pursuing a STEM or Education major. Preference should be given to students with senior status, but it can be awarded to a junior if no seniors meet the criteria. Recipients must have residency in Burke, Catawba, or Caldwell County.
CIC/UPS Scholarship:
One full-time undergraduate student who demonstrates financial need as identified by the institution. The scholarship is for educational purposes only and may not be used to replace aid that has already been committed to the student.
ICFNC Advisory Board Corporate Scholarship:
One full-time undergraduate student who is a North Carolina resident and demonstrates financial need as identified by the institution.
The Finish Strong Scholarship:
These funds should be awarded to full-time undergraduate seniors who demonstrate financial need. Preference should be given to students from underrepresented populations, including first-generation college students. Funding is intended to fill financial need gaps to help seniors “Finish Strong.”
Drs. Jeremy E. and Katie P. Fisher Scholarship:
To be awarded to three full-time undergraduate students who demonstrates financial need as identified by the institution. The scholarship is intended to be used as emergency assistance funds to assist the recipient in times of need. The funds should be administered by the Office of Student Life in consultation with the Office of Student Support and Outreach as well as the Financial Aid Office. Funds could be used to assist students with academic materials and resources, transportation needs, and/or minor medical expenses.
Pfizer STEM Scholarship:
To be eligible for this scholarship, applicants must be full-time undergraduate students who are pursuing a major in the STEM field. Preference will be given to students from underrepresented populations in STEM. Additional consideration will be given to freshmen or sophomores who are enrolled in Gateway and STEM-sequenced courses. North Carolina residents will also receive priority during the selection process.
Matthew and Erin Socha Scholarship:
The scholarship will be awarded to two full-time undergraduate students who demonstrate financial need and are classified as freshmen or sophomores. Eligible candidates must be residents of North Carolina or Wisconsin. Preference will be given to first-generation college students.
Thomas and Ashley Varnadore Scholarship of Optimism:
The student must be a full-time undergraduate student, a freshman or sophomore, and demonstrate financial need. Preference should be given to a first-generation student.
Truist S.T.A.R. Scholarship:
To be eligible for this funding opportunity, recipients must be enrolled in an Educator Preparation Program and completing their student teaching requirement. Applicants must also demonstrate financial need. Priority consideration should be given to underrepresented populations in teaching.
