The University of Mount Olive (UMO) is a leader in traditional seated education and online adult education. Although UMO has grown and evolved over the years, its lasting emphasis on personalized, faith-based learning within the liberal arts tradition has put the University of Mount Olive on the map as one of the leading private colleges in North Carolina. Students who hunger for both academic knowledge and Christian faith are able to bring those two worlds together at UMO.

In its traditional daytime programs, the University offers a variety of majors featuring small class sizes taught by caring faculty. Fields of study include agriculture, business, science, Christian studies, psychology, education, the arts, exercise science, nursing, justice studies, veterinary bioscience, and many others.

Transformational experiences occur outside the classroom in student organizations, professional and collegiate clubs, performing groups, internships and community service opportunities. Students have the opportunity to compete on 25 highly competitive NCAA Division II intercollegiate athletic teams in addition to various intramural sports.

The University of Mount Olive is accredited by the Southern Association of Colleges and Schools Commission on Colleges (SACSCOC) to award associate, baccalaureate, master, and doctoral degree levels.
