Wells Fargo has given $67,600 to the Independent College Fund of North Carolina (ICFNC) to provide scholarships at 25 private colleges in North Carolina for the 2018-19 academic year.
Since 1954, Wells Fargo has donated more than $2.6 million for scholarships to North Carolina students with financial need through ICFNC, a division of North Carolina Independent Colleges and Universities that provides scholarship aid and enrichment programs.
“Wells Fargo is pleased to continue our support for the Independent College Fund of North Carolina in providing scholarships for deserving students for more than 60 years,” said Leslie Hayes, Business Banking Division manager for the Carolinas at Wells Fargo. “At Wells Fargo, we share the belief that supporting education is one of the most important investments we can make in our country’s future. We know the returns on an investment in a great education far exceed those from the best mutual funds.”
“For more than six decades, Wells Fargo has generously contributed to the success of countless students in achieving their educational goals,” said Colleen Kinser, director of ICFNC. “We are so grateful for their ongoing commitment to independent higher education in North Carolina.”
