College Access Challenge Grant The College Access Challenge Grant (CACG) is a source of funding provided to states by the U.S. Department of Education to encourage college attendance and graduation, particularly among underrepresented groups. Each state receives an award based on the state's population, which they can then use for programming and scholarships. NCICU relies on CACG funds to create college access and success programs and scholarships that help low-income, first-generation, and/or minority students to attend, pay for and experience success at the independent colleges and universities in our state.
