Collaborative Partnerships with Businesses

The purpose of NCICU’s Collaboration Initiative is to maximize opportunities for the 36 private colleges and universities in our state to work together to control costs and improve the quality of services offered to students, faculty and staff.

The cost-saving and value-adding opportunities available to members through the NCICU Collaboration Initiative can be classified into three distinct partnership levels. Direct Contract Affiliates
In some cases, NCICU has negotiated purchasing agreements directly with businesses on behalf of its colleges and universities. Under the terms of these agreements, campuses are able to purchase products and services at discounted prices. see more

Business Affiliates
The NCICU Business Affiliate Program is designed to create partnerships between NCICU and businesses that wish to promote their products and services to the 36 independent colleges and universities in North Carolina. see more

Group Purchasing Programs
By virtue of its association with several group purchasing entities, NCICU provides NC private colleges and universities access to hundreds of discounted purchasing opportunities with nationally recognized businesses.

Higher Education Collaborative Partnerships

Articulation Agreements
NCICU has entered into a number of articulation agreements with the North Carolina Community College System and two-year Louisburg College to make transfer from two-year colleges to four-year colleges seamless. The articulation agreements specify the courses a student should take if they want to be sure their credits will transfer to the four-year institution. see more

The College Foundation of North Carolina
CFNC promotes access to North Carolina higher education and assists students with education planning, career planning, and applying and paying for college.
